Slo-Mo Booth: Jacob & Bailey

Their reception was at the Certus Loft in downtown Greenville, which has a beautiful steel door that I used for a backdrop instead of the typical white or grey background.

As usual, this was a ton of fun to shoot. They really upped the game on the amount of confetti and silly string.

Bachman Ferrari Collection: Behind the Scenes

A few weeks ago, we went up to Tennesse and saw one of the most incredible Ferrari collections in the world.

Enjoy this behind the scenes video of a few cars from an amazing collection, owned by a kind and gracious family.

Be sure to watch until the very end...

Jeff Gordon & Kasey Kahne: Go-Kart Challenge Photoshoot BTS

My friend Clint Davis is an absolutely incredible photographer with somewhat of an online following, and it was about time he had a behind-the-scenes video showing what goes into some of his shoots. When he booked this shoot, it was a perfect fit for his first BTS video.

I did some minor assisting, and took some BTS photos of my own, but for the most part I did my best to capture what it takes to do a job like this.

Linhbergh, another photographer that I have much respect for, was also there as the main assistant.

In addition to the shoot Clint was doing, there was a film crew on location to produce the video below, and we got some great shots behind the scenes of their production.

I also want to give a shout-out to Douglas Sonders for featuring the video on FStoppers!

Remembering the 1951 Orange Bowl

The 1951 Orange Bowl between Clemson and the University of Miami was one for the history books. As the game was winding down, it looked like all hope was lost for Clemson, but a couple of clipping calls put Miami up against their own goal line. Soon after Miami snapped the ball, a defensive guard for Clemson, Sterling Smith, tackled Miami's quarterback, Frank Smith, for what ended up being a game-winning safety.

A friend of mine is related to Sterling Smith and asked to put together a short video commemorating his incredible play in the Orange Bowl. During an event at Clemson in 2012, I simply spoke to a few people in attendance and came up with the video you see here. It took a while to get done, seeing as how it was a personal project. I was super busy in 2013! I finished it up around Christmas so Sterling's family could enjoy it together.

His family wanted me to put it online for everyone to enjoy. So check it out below and do just that.

Peter + Cassie: Slow Motion Booth

The camera I used shot eight seconds of footage at 240 frames per second. That translates to eight seconds of footage stretched out to 80 seconds of footage. We had a few different props for people to use, but the main thing that makes this great is a lot of movement.

If you are interested in doing this at an event, just contact me here!

Enjoy!

Clemson Basketball: Take Flight

A few of weeks ago I got to work on one of the coolest projects I've done all year. Clemson Basketball hired Emblem Film Co. to produce an ad for the jumbotron at Death Valley, and I worked with them as the director of photography. We shot all of the slow motion footage on Wednesday and the ad was playing in Death Valley on Saturday during the Clemson vs. Georgia game.

KJ McDaniels is the basketball player featured in the ad. He was very down to earth (aside from when we was dunking...sorry) and super easy to work with!

Matt Fisher at Emblem handled the editing and nailed it. Check out the spot below.

Jeff Rodgers Sets New Masters Men Record – 1.25@43′ Off

Jeff Rodgers set a new record of 1@43' off in the second round of the Little Mountain Record Tournament on September 15th, 2012. The next day, he scored 1.25@43' off in the first round of the day, and 1@43' off again in the second round. He was the first skier to run 41' off at 36 MPH in 1997, and now he's the first to run it at 34 MPH.

Jeff's original score on Saturday was 1.25@43' off, but since he lost the handle right before the second buoy it was corrected to 1@43'.

Big thanks to Little Mountain Lake and Race City Marine for putting on the tournament.

Check out Jeff's documentary to learn more about his awesome career at http://43at43.com/

Waterskiing Saved My Life – John Cox

BallofSpray.com, Radar, and Honu teamed up for a video contest this past summer. It had to mention the companies, and be about the waterski lifestyle. The winner would get a new ski! I unfortunately got second place, but I'm proud of the video I ended up producing for it. John did a great job on camera, and his story is incredible. Enjoy!

Awake, O Skier

We went out to Keowee for a brisk ski, met up with some people that were attending a weekend retreat with Resonate called "Awaken Fall", and revisited the jumping rock.

Oh, & I threw some funk on the color grade, because that's how I roll.

Enjoy!

Jeff Rodgers Sets New Masters Men Record, 4@41, at Trophy Lakes 9-3-2011

On September 3rd, 2011, Jeff Rodgers set a new Masters Men record with a score of 4@41. Watch him ski 38' off, 39.5' off, and the 41' off record pass while talking about his recent transition to 34 mph skiing.

Jeff Rodgers: GoPro Edit

This is something I made just for fun. Jeff Rodgers takes to the slalom course with a GoPro on the front of his ski. I decided to make this after watching the USC Ski & Snowboard's "How to Make an Edit 8-Bit!" found here.

I may have gone a bit overboard with the bad tv effect but it was fun to make.

43@43: Official Trailer

This is a trailer for a project that I'm working on in my spare time. 43@43 is a short sports documentary about 43-year-old professional slalom water-skier Jeff Rodgers and his ability to match the world record that he set in 1996 - 1@43. Jeff talks about his career with insights from Jeff Crouch, Kristi Overton Johnson, and Lucky Lowe. Be sure to watch it in HD if you can!

This is why TRON: Legacy was made

This video was taken at Comic-Con in 2008. It's a short technical demo done to measure the interest in a Tron sequel, listen to the cheers when Jeff Bridges opens his eyes (1:46). Creating something that makes people that excited and happy is like nothing else in the world. The closest thing I have done to that is a video of a volleyball team winning the state championship. The video was alright, but for the girls on that team, it was awesome. Creating something that makes a group of people that happy is a pretty incredible feeling, and I hope to do it again.

Waterski Video

This is a video I did back in August and September of 2006 while at Full Sail. I interviewed Lucky Lowe, got footage at the 2006 U.S. Open of Waterskiing, and hung out with Jeff Rodgers at his private lake. If you like slalom waterskiing then you'll enjoy this video.
